Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Start safari with JKIA Airport pickup. Proceed to Masai Mara via Great Rift valley viewpoint for photos, restroom break, and shopping. Arrive at Masai Mara, one of Africa's top wildlife reserves, for lunch and check-in at Masai Mara Simba lodge. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, famous for Big cats and Great Migration.
Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning breakfast and exit the lodge with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara National Reserve searching for the Big 5and other animals.
In case your safari falls from July to October, you will have the privilege to witness the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially while crossing the crocodile-loaded river Mara.
After the game drive, you will head to the lodge to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have overnight at the lodge.
3rd Night in Masai Mara National Reserve
Option 1: Whole day game drive after breakfast with packed lunch, searching for Big 5 and more.
Option 2: Early morning game drive for big cat sightings, leisure time after breakfast, then afternoon game drive at 4 pm.
Option 3: Optional hot air balloon ride (USD 400pp) in the morning, followed by mid-morning game drives, lunch, and afternoon game drive.
After the game drive, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Note: Choose any option and add an Optional Visit to Masai Village (USD 30PP).
Masai Mara National Reserve – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, head to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania with packed lunch. Complete visa formalities at Isebania border before entering Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and most famous park, a world heritage site, and 7th worldwide wonder. Witness the awe-inspiring annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. Arrive at Tanzania Bush Camp in the late afternoon, enjoy a game drive en-route, freshen up, and have dinner at the camp.
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at the camp, you shall depart with packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the park for a chance to see the BIG 5, Migrations, and even many more animals.
You will later return for dinner and overnight in the evening at Tanzania Bush Camp Serengeti.
Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservancy
After breakfast, embark on a drive to Ngorongoro Conservancy. Enjoy a game drive en-route to Rhino Lodge, where you'll arrive in time for lunch. Afterward, set out on a half-day crater tour.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area holds a remarkable gem - the eponymous crater. Covering 265 sq km, it's 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The crater rim stands at an astounding 2286 meters above sea level, and its floor hosts a small soda lake called Lake Magadi. With an estimated 30,000 animals living within, it's the world's most intensive safari game viewing area. In 1978, it was justifiably declared a World Heritage Site. A safari to Tanzania would be incomplete without a visit to this park.
Later, return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Conservancy – Amboseli National Park
Have breakfast and then drive to Amboseli National Park with packed lunch. After visa formalities at The Namanga border, you shall proceed to Amboseli National Park.
You will arrive at Amboseli National Park around 2 pm. You will have a bush lunch on a hill facing Mt Kilimanjaro. After lunch, you will continue with your game drives.
This is the best park to get close to the free-ranging elephants, over 1600 elephants, and have spectacular views of the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Also, you will have an opportunity to get the best snapshots of the unique African sunset and sunrise.
After the game drive, you will drive to the camp and check-in at Kibo Safari Camp. You will freshen up and proceed for a warm dinner with soothing traditional music in the background.
You will later have an overnight at the camp.
Amboseli National Park
Today offers two enticing options:
Option one: Begin with an early morning game drive, then return for a delicious hot breakfast. Enjoy the midmorning at your leisure, with the option to relax by the pool or simply unwind. After lunch, head out for an exciting evening game drive. Finally, return to the camp for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay.
Option 2: Start the day with an early breakfast and embark on a full-day game drive, taking a packed lunch along. Return to the camp for a satisfying dinner and a restful night.
Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
Following breakfast, we'll journey back to Nairobi, where you'll have the day to enjoy optional activities, depending on your flight schedule. This marks the end of your unforgettable 9-Day Best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari.
